Can't process C&P Temporary Contact from C&P Event

  • Can't process C&P Temporary Contact from C&P Event

    I am unable to process a C&P Temporary Contact that came in through a C&P Event. I have been able to with many other donors, but this one is giving me odd errors I haven't seen before. I tried reposting to Salesforce but that only created a duplicate C&P Temporary Contact (still unable to process). I've attached a screenshot of the error message. Any advice? Thanks!

    Good day @EllieK

    We noticed that you are at outdated versions of our apps for which support has been ended. If you allow us we will upgrade your instance with the latest version of our apps and review whats going on.

    Please share the order number of the temp contact as well as the ContactID you would like to merge with.

      Thank you for your response CnP.Support.AM - I'm aware our C&P apps need to be updated, and I've actually been trying to move forward with this since March. There was one hesitation from our organization, though. Last time we allowed an upgrade we lost a lot of our customization and had to go back in and correct things. Is there a way to assure we don't run into this problem again with this upgrade?

        Strange! what customization have you lost? Our updates will NOT change any of your settings and flows. You NO need to worry about that.

          CnP.Support.AM That's a relief to hear. Perhaps the changes we experienced were caused by other actions. For example, opportunity ownership was adjusted to an employee, but I think that was because that employee was the one who re-connected our 3rd party connection.

          Anyway, please proceed with the upgrades.

          This would be a new contact ID for the individual is not in our system yet.

            We reviewed and found that the above error is NOT related to C&P. There is a trigger on Account object with the Namespace Prefix: PatronSignup which is causing an issue.

            Hope that helps.

            However, we have upgraded your instance with latest versions of our apps.

            It is highly recommended that you login to the Connect & re-establish the connection. You may see that your account is already connected but this does not mean the new information has posted to Salesforce.

              CnP.Support.AM Thank you for running the C&P app updates.

              I was able to resolve the original issue by creating a contact record for the donor then merging the C&P Temporary Contact to that.
