  • Trying to test custom field mapping

    I've created several custom fields on one of our campaigns and mapped the custom questions to Salesforce. I tried testing using the Connect Virtual Terminal, but none of the custom questions mapped into Salesforce and they aren't even visible when I click on the transaction in Connect. I'm not sure what step I missed. Can you help me with this or provide me with documentation on how to test the field mapping?

    Edit: I am able to get the custom questions to work using the Salesforce VT instead of the Connect one, but now I can't get receipts to send from either terminal.

    Would you please share the order number so that we can review it? Are you expecting to fire the Autoresponder? If yes, then please share the responder name you were expecting to fire.

      Also, we noticed that you are at out dated versions of our apps in Salesforce for which supported is ended. Please grant us access to your SF instance and allow us to upgrade with latest version of our apps.

        Hi,
        I am working for two organizations who have C&P. The one that is related to this thread is Salesforce org 00Dj0000000H2Yg and I just granted login access.

        Order Number for Connect VT: 50848-1806251220441121111 (This one did not map any custom fields)
        Order Number for Salesforce VT: 50848-1806251247434501111 (This one did map the custom field I entered)

        The Autoresponder email names are Non-recurring Donation Receipt and Recurring Donation Receipt. Neither of which went out so I feel like I'm missing a step.

        Basically, I want to test to make sure that the Payment Form I created in Connect will fill in all the appropriate fields and send the correct receipts but I wasn't sure how to do that since there is no test mode.

        I have also granted login access for the org that is out of date: 00Dd0000000h2BY

          Good day @Jenny

          Please note that the Custom Questions in Connect Campaign will not reflect in Connect VT. Custom Questions can create in Connect VT. You may add default questions by going to Virtual Terminal >> VT settings >> Additional Questions.

          Since you have added the custom questions while processing the transaction through C&P Virtual Terminal in Salesforce (50848-1806251247434501111), it mapped the custom field.

          Regarding the Autoresponder, in order to fire the responder, it has to satisfy the condition. In your case, the condition didn't satisfy. If you notice both of above transactions has been declined and based on the condition defined in Autoresponder it didn't satisfy:

            It is highly recommended that you login to the Connect & re-establish the connection. You may see that your account is already connected but this does not mean the new information has posted to Salesforce.
