  • Valid data for billing address error

    I'm trying to use the virtual terminal in Salesforce to process a payment. When I click the process payment button, i'm getting an error that says:
    cnp-paas.na46.visual.force.com
    Please enter valid data for Billing Address1

    Is this because the billing address doesn't match the address on file with the credit card company? I'm entering the address in the Billing Information section as exactly what the donor told us his address is. If it makes a difference, the donor is in Belgium and gave us a Visa card number.

    Strange! We have processed one test transaction in your instance and didn't find any issues. Would you please share the characters used in billing information so that we can test it? If possible aslo share the screenshot of the billing section you entered.

            If you notice in the Address1 field there is a special character has been used which is causing issue: Chausse.

            We are not allowing such special characters so please remove that character and try to process a transaction.

              I just tried running the card again, replacing the with an e, and it was declined. Could this be because of that change in spelling?
              The order number is 26971-1806111205025470986 if want to take a look.

                No, that is nothing to do with characters. We reviewed and found that the above transaction has been declined from the bank and the reason is: Transaction not permitted to cardholder. We have no control over this message - we simply report what the bank sends us. The cardholder needs to contact their bank and figure out why the card was declined.
