  • Virtual Terminal transactions

    Our virtual terminal transactions are not going to the intended salesforce campaign. We have this set in Connect, and it shows in the Transaction Campaign in the virtual terminal. We received two updates, and this functionality doesn't work anymore. It appears that the latest fix to PaaS, also needs to be added to the Events application.

    Let me explain you the way it works.

    If the Item Campaign exists and Transaction Campaign is blank, in this case, Opportunity Campaign will be the Item Campaign and the Transaction Campaign will be blank.

    If the Item Campaign is blank and Transaction Campaign is exist, in this case, Opportunity Campaign will be blank and Transaction Campaign is Transaction Campaign.

    Regarding the Connect Campaign in SF VT, it is used for Receipt purpose and nothing do with Campaigns in Salesforce.

    However, if you grant us login access to your instance and share the order number we will review it.

      CnP.Support.AM This was not always the behavior of the Virtual Terminal (at least, not in MADD's system) prior to April 23 and the subsequent bug fixes, all transactions in the Virtual Terminal created Opportunities that copied the Transaction Campaign to the Opportunity Campaign, since the Item Campaign was never specified.

      We set up the Virtual Terminal to automatically populate the Transaction Campaign because of this process. Can we re-enable this feature in MADD's instance?

        We will be updating the Campaign Layout VT button to populate Item Campaign as well as Transaction campaign via a URL parameter.

                  Good day Eric Pitts

                  The link you sent is to a Contact and not a transaction. We are assuming by giving us the link to the Contact you want us to check the only transaction they have in their related lists.

                  The update you are using has a button that you may add to the Campaign labeled Virtual Terminal. This button has an additional parameter called: ItemSFCampaignID and is part of the package's button included as part of the installation. In reviewing your instance we discovered that you have a CUSTOM button that you have added to your campaign layout that includes several parameters. In reviewing the custom button we noticed that you have added this new parameter to the button's link. We tested the button and its parameters and all works as expected.

                  The transaction you posted does not include the new parameter. We are guessing that you posted this question and must have added the new parameter to your custom parameter afterwards since it is working as expected now.

                  May I ask if you still have this issue? given there is no way you could have known of the new parameter prior to this release and given it is part of your button it tells us this has been modified either by you or the consultant, NIM.
