  • Issue around Temp Contacts and Posting Donations to SF

We have been having an issue with temporary contacts lately and a long running issue around some donations not being posted to Salesforce correctly.

When we look at the VF Temp Contacts page, we see a few temporary contacts or none depending on what gets pushed through, as shown in picture 1.

However, we had a donation that was not there and when our finance department was trying to close out the month, we had to find the missing donation. We found it on another Temp Contacts page a former development user had saved that looks like the actual objects that pulls in what the VF page displays. In it, we found a lot of donations, most of which had posted, but also some $0 event tickets that have not posted. See Picture 2

When we opened up some of the temp contacts and tried to push them through, we received the error in picture 3 and some of the temp contacts when opened were what is in picture 4.

We were finally able to get the missing donation and close out our quarter by going into CnP itself and hitting the Post to Salesforce button again. However, this missing donation and having to use Post to Salesforce is a consistent problem we face and we would like to resolve it.

We'd also like to know what is going on with the other temp contacts page and how do we get our missing $0 events and clean up the temp contacts that have already processed without 1. creating dupliceates and 2. losing data.

Any advice on this would be appreciated.

    Good day @sshillieto

Would you please share the temp contact order numbers for which you see that error as well as grant us access to your instance so that we can review whats going on?

Also, we noticed that you are many versions behind. If you allow us we will upgrade your instance with latest versions of our apps.

The order # for the record we had to push to Salesforce from CnP was 24172-1804200926499904779 also this is the link for the temp contacts page with the missing event opportunities and the holding contacts https://yearup--cnp-paas.na32.visual...fdc.override=1

I have granted you access to our org to investigate and to tell us what version of CnP we should be on only. I am concerned by you stating we should upgrade, because we upgraded our instance just 2 months ago.

Please do not make any changes to settings or upgrade anything without speaking it us first. We have a very customized instance and have had issues with upgrading in the past that have broken everything with our CnP system before and would need to test any upgrades or changes in our sandbox first.

        Good day @sshillieto

Would you please review the above link which you have shared? It doesn't work for us.

We see no issues with above order number.
