  • Skipping recurrent payment from Salesforce

Hi, could you please advise how can we once skip a recurring payment from Salesforce? So recurring payment still should be active, we only need to skip it this month.

    Thanks.

    Good day seedsysdev

Sorry but payments cannot be skipped as the recurring will be put in out-sync-status.

When a payment occurs, as part of a recurring payment, the next payment date is added to the record for processing. The payments have to be in sequence as they have to follow a chain of consistency.

The totals, etc. as well projections all become affected and the health check for synchronization will fail.

Sorry.. a lot of sanity checks are done to ensure consistency and skipping is not an option. The only solution is to cancel this recurring and set up a new one with start date in the future. To elaborate further:
    • Cancel the current recurring.
    • Set up a new one in the Virtual Terminal but change the CHARGE DATE to a date when you want this to run, e.g. March 12, 2018.
The above will set up a future date transaction and it will start a new recurring. Hope that helps.

      Hi,
just to ensure we don't miss any opportunities.
On the screenshot below is recurring Payment detail. We can see field "Next Installment Date". If we change this day to plus one month (now it is read only, but probably we could have access to it somehow via apex or flows) will next payment happens in plus one month or Click & Pledge keeps all recurrent payments or its server and this field is just to show the information for user?

      Thank you

        Good day @seedsysdev

Yes, it is just to show the information in Salesforce. But, you may edit the recurring in Connect and change the next installment date to any future date, this way you can skip the scheduled date and set the new date for any future date.

Please note that the updated information will not post to Salesforce until the next installment processed and as stated above the recurring will be put in out-sync-status until the next payment come in.

        Hope that helps.
