There are 59 items in my C&P Temporary Contacts and I want to clear the list. When there are temporary contacts that need to be added or merged, I deal with them. The rest are failed transactions or something else. I'd like to clear the list entirely. How do I do this please?

Enter the order number of the temp contact and delete it.Regards,

Hello! I have granted you access and our Org ID is 00D61000000aVFr. I am getting ready to train someone and want to start with a clean C&P Temporary Contacts screen so I can explain how it works. Will you please clear the 30 temp contacts? A couple more questions:- is there any way to prevent test transactions from ending up on this screen?
- since I first asked about this 3 years ago, have you developed a way for users to bulk delete these ourselves?
- among those transactions is a donor name that shouldn't be there (see Order# 1808100959001727112). This is always associated with the same email address. These are donors of ours, but they are not trying to make these donations and I don't know why they show up as recurring declined transactions. Can you make these stop appearing here or tell me what I can do to accomplish this myself?

We have deleted those temp contacts and fixed the issue with the order number you mentioned above, it should not appear again.
Regarding the test transactions, there is no way to prevent it and as of now, there is no way to delete in bulk.Regards,

This is a real problem for people testing out a new event or campaign give. I found the easiest is to either create or use one of the phony people and assign all the temp contacts to it - that goes very quickly - then delete the phony person and its household. Actually would probably make some sense to have one catchall contact/account.

briegull is right, a specific test Contact with a specific first name, last name, and email is the simplest way to get around having test contacts build up in temporary contacts.
If you need to clear a temporary contact, delete the temporary contact's Order Number in C&P Settings > Maintenance.
But the reason they show up in temporary contacts in the first place is because the transaction did not match on first name, last name, and email- so if you use that specific test Contact's first name, last name, and email every time, it will not create a temporary contact.
You could also use briegull's suggestion, make a Contact called Anonymous, or even TempContact Surplus, and just always match your Temporary Contact to that Contact.Regards,
