Connect vs old portal

can anyone please tell me the difference between usage of connect portal and the old portal (portal.clickandpledge.com)?

I am honestly very confused as there as some overlapping areas between the two and I don't know where set things up anymore.

We understand the confusion and sorry for this period of transition. Connect is the new platform and the legacy portal will retire in 2018. We are waiting for one last feature to be added to Connect before completely retiring the portal.

For all practical purposes if you are not using the Advanced pages in the legacy portal you should move to Connect completely. All connections have to be done in Connect.

Consider the legacy portal is EOL'd and disappearing.

And we are using the advanced checkout pages. Do we need to create new checkout pages in Connect portal now?

Also, our custom questions have been setup in old portal. Should we move them over too?

If you are using the Advanced Pages then just work in Portal but do your connection in Connect.

Once we have the shopping cart in the Connect platform we will retire the Portal completely. Other than the Connect you can continue setting up and working with the advanced pages.

For donation forms we highly recommend that you explore using the Connect forms as they are truly more flexible. You can also check your reports in Connect. All transactions, regardless of their origin, are available in the Connect and its reporting is by far more flexible than the legacy portal.
