  • Temporary Contacts Mailing State Error

    When I try to convert certain temporary contact I'm getting the following error:

    Mailing State/Province Code: Mismatched integration value and ISO code for field
    Insert failed. First exception on row 0; first error: FIELD_INTEGRITY_EXCEPTION, Mismatched integration value and ISO code for field: [MailingStateCode]---243-------(CnP_PaaS)

                  Hi DNewland,

                  You have set your C&P Settings > Countries and States set to Full State , which seems right because when you create a new Contact, the full name is what you see. But in actually, when your consultant enabled state and country picklists, they set the label to the full state name, but the INTEGRATED VALUE to be the abbreviation. You're seeing the long name, but the actual value in the database is the short one.

                  You can resolve either by changing your C&P Settings for Countries and States to use the short name, or you can go through each of the states in Data Management (refer to breadcrumbs in screenshot- you configure State and Country Picklists, choose United States to edit, and then edit the states) and change it to the long name.

                  We have tested in our instance, and this did correct the issue, please confirm the fix works.

                    Hi,

                    We are experiencing this issue now as well after enabling picklists in Salesforce. I have reset the Click and Pledge State/Country Settings to use the ISO Code which matches the integration value in Salesforce, but somehow C&P still tries to use the old "Long Value".

                    It would be sweet to fix this as we needed the ISO codes to integrate with another APP. The only work around is to temporarily change the integration values back to full text, process the temp contacts and then re-edit them.

                    I followed the steps in

                    But it seems the temporary contact is still being stored with the LONG State/Country vs. the ISO Two-letter codes.

                    Our C&P id is 36216
                    Our Salesforce Org ID is
                    00D50000000cxl8
                    A temp Contact in the holding area TC-4062

                    I have enabled access for a week. Thank you for your help.

                          Hello,

                          We've managed to resolve this with a configuration change with our other vendor. Although, there's still the question of why the Database did not update properly to use the two-letter codes, we are back in business.

                            Please note that in case of "State and Country/Territory Picklists" are enabled in Salesforce, then, in this case, C&P Setting > Country and State setting are not applicable.

                            However, if you want to change with the two-letter code, then you need to change the settings of Country and States to two letters in Salesforce as shown in the below images:
