  • I can't see a Salesforce field in Custom Question Map under C&P Settings

    Hi,

    I have this Salesforce field, which is an email field for opportunities. I would like to custom map a question on our payment form to this Salesforce field, but I cannot find the field in the pull down. Is this because it is an email field? How can I map the question on the payment form to the email field in the Salesforce.

    (In the attached image, I want to be able to see Dedication Email, but I don't see it here.)

    Yes, in the current system Email field cannot be mapped to Opportunity fields. You will need add text field instead of Email to map to opportunity fields.

      Thanks. It is good to know. So, I created a text field to receive an email from C&P and set up a Process to copy the email address from the text field to the original email address. Thanks!

        This become a problem if i want to generate a workflow email to that address from Salesforce as Text Types are not available ... any way to fix this?

          If you created an automation to copy the value from the text field to Salesforce's email field, and that is working, why would you use your text field as the source for your workflow to send the email?

            The workflow did not copy fields, but generates an email. ... however, that is how I resolved the problem: by mapping The Click and Pledge Email Text field to a Salesforce Text field, then use an update workflow into a Salesforce Email Type Field which can then be used in the automated email workflow.

            This is what is required as Click and Pledge 1) Cannot create an autoresponder to an "in honor of" email and 2) does not map email types to Salesforce. Quite a clunky resolution.

              We're sorry you feel that way. With a combination of SKUs and Custom Question responses, the Donor Management (PaaS) Autoresponder tool is very powerful, particularly considering the incredibly low cost. Click & Pledge solutions are pretty much free, as our pricing is based only on offering competitive merchant fees. You also have access to a significant amount of free support options.

              Certainly custom "In Honor/In Memory" responses can be created to send to the Patron/Donor, but I'm guessing you want to send a notification to the recipient of the honorarium or a relation of the memorial gift? You might review the Power of SKU article and the C&P Settings - Email Autoresponder articles to appreciate the full flexibility of what can be done.

              I hope we didn't miss offering that direction by responding directly to the question you asked.
