  • Virtual Terminal - Campaign - not mapped to NPSP

    Hi,

I processed a recurring donation with a future payment date of May 1st, 2017. Looks like it went through fine as far as it being authorized, and it created the recurring donation. This is the order number: 36448-1704241633070871923. However, i noticed that the campaign field is blank, where when i had set up the recurring i had inputted "Heroes for Hope Giving Converted Giving Intentions" as the campaign. Should it appear on the 'campaign'? Or will it appear when the payment is processed. This is our first time using C&P. I've granted login access. Org ID: 00D41000000G4f0EAC

    Thanks,
    Monica

    Good day @mjokiman

We reviewed and found that the Campaign which you have assigned is NOT Transaction Campaign but the Item Campaign:

And we noticed that you have setup to NOT to create Opportunity for $0:

Hope that answers your question. Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Thanks. So when you said: have assigned is NOT Transaction Campaign but the Item Campaign:, does this mean I have to put the Salesforce campaign that I want to appear on the Transaction campaign and not transaction campaign?

Yes, no need to create opportunity when the amount is $0. I just want to make sure that the campaign that I've inputted will appear once the 1st payment is processed?

      Thanks.

        Good day @mjokiman

In order to appear on the Transaction Campaign you need to enter the Campaign in the Transaction Campaign field NOT in Item Campaign. Please see the image below:

Thanks, but this answer seems to be different than what Kamran told me on the powerofus Hub where he thinks that the campaign that I inputted in the "Item Campaign" should be populated once the opportunity is created. Which answer should I follow? And if it's the Transaction campaign that I need to input the Salesforce campaign, does it matter if it's the Salesforce 15 digit ID, or if it's the actual name, or is it the CXXXXX? We're inputting more recurring donations so we need to know the answer ASAP. Thanks!

            Good day @mjokiman

Please note that if the Transaction Campaign exist, it will assign the Transaction Campaign to the Opportunity as well as transaction BUT in the absence of Transaction Campaign, the Item Campaign doesn't show up in the Transaction Campaign.

Regarding the CampaignID, it doesn't require 15 digit ID, you may simply enter the name and the system will internally take the ID.

Hope that make sense. Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Thank you so much. I enter the transaction campaign and i do see it in the recurring donation. Just curious...what's the purpose of item campaign? Where does that campaign appear?

                Good day @mjokiman

Item Campaign will help to segregate the entire items amount under desired campaign and it appear under opportunity.

Hope that answers your question. Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
