  • Possible missing system receipt

    A donor claims they did not receipt the system receipt for their donation. Can you verify whether one was sent?

    Good day @Radha

    We reviewed the above order number and found that the receipt has NOT been sent. We found that the above order number has been processed from one of your Connect Widget and you have set to NOT to send the receipt:

      Yes, and, I was told that the setting in the Legacy Portal was a higher level setting that overrides settings on each Connect Campaign, that the setting in your image is available for more granular control.

        Good day @Radha

        NO, that is not true. The portal setting may be overridden by any application. For example if in the Salesforce VT/Connect VT you uncheck the box "Send Receipt" for the system receipt, since it is being manually stated the system receipt will NOT be sent to the patron. Any application may force the receipt to be sent if specifically asked to send.

          But notice that we have receipt/email notifications set up there in the Legacy Portal. Those are all successfully being sent.

            Good day @Radha

            Please note that the Organization always receives a copy of the receipt. The above setting is for the patron ONLY.

            The emails which is listed under Receipt/Email Notification list will always receive the copy of receipt.

            Hope that further clarifies the options.
