Customizing the Pledge View

Hi there,

We need to be able to customize the Pledge view (and potentially others) to work better with one of our external tracking systems. Mostly it is just adding a button and exposing a field, but it would be nice to be able to more in the future. I tried just copying the VF page, but I got a "CnP_PaaS.PledgeController is not visible" error. What options do we have?

Sorry, there is no way to add the fields to the VF page. You may add the fields to the Pledge view by adding them under "Field Sets" but Buttons cannot be added.

It does help a little, good to know there are some options, but if we do end up needing more, is it possible for us to use a different VF page or even the Standard Layout and still use the CnP Pledge controller?

NO, that is not possible. Please note that CnP Pledge controller is NOT designed for global use, it used for internal application only.

Gotcha. In future revisions it would be good to allow more flexibility than only field sets, but we'll work with that for now.
