Backdate transaction

Hello,
We had a few donations come through before 12/31, but didn't get processed before the new year and I can't seem to backdate a transaction. Not even with custom payment type. Please help!

Custom Payment Type should allow for setting up the date in the past, using the Virtual

Have you tried it?

I just did a transaction in the VT and set the transaction date to a date in 2016 and it processed it. See the transaction below:
