Autoresponders for recurring gifts?

Hello,

We've recently enabled recurring gifts on our online form (weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly). I am now in need of creating autoresponders that reflect the type of recurring gift the donor submitted.

I've attempted to edit/clone existing autoresponder templates for each campaign so that we have a version for recurring, but I don't see a way to enter the frequency so that it is included in the autoresponder (i.e. Thank you for your "monthly/yearly/quarterly/weekly" gift of ......")

Can you help me figure out what I'm missing?

That can be done under C&P Designer not in C&P Autoresponder. We do have an merge fields for Recurring, you may include the periodicity in template from there and you need to assign that template to the respective Autoresponder.

Thank you for that clarification!

I tried it and it worked but I encountered another issue. When I tested the autoresponder by making a gift I then received 2 autoresponders. One for the recurring gift that I actually made and the other for the same gift as if it were not recurring.

I checked the assignment for the autoresponder that I should not have received and it does not have "recurring" selected, so I'm not sure why it still fired.
