Addresses missing on all file batch uploads

Hello-

The file batch upload isn't copying addresses from the file over to the C&P Alias. It's in the report under "Shipping Address" (the address field in the upload template) and show up in C&P Data XML under "Shipping Address". But the address on the C&P Alias is blank.

How do we supply an address via the upload file that will make it to the contact/alias?

When I include a separate billing and shipping address via the Virtual Terminal, the billing ends up in the Mailing Address and the Shipping in the Other, so perhaps this upload sheet should be asking instead for the Billing Address as that is what feeds to Alias? But there's no fields in the template for it.

Sorry, as of now there is no way to save the Shipping Address under Alias. In case of main Contact, it will save under Other Address.

Hi- That's not really my question, no. We need to upload address as part of the File Batch Upload and have it make it to the Contact Alias (or straight to the contact, but you don't overwrite contact info, so contact alias is next best). These are all same address for billing and shipping. Is that not possible? Why isn't billing address included in the file batch template, since that's the address needed to verify the credit card?

(And note-- unrelated but the shipping does not make it to Other with file batch upload either, but that isn't my issue here, just a note)

I see what you are referring to but as of now we are not saving the shipping address in "Contact Alias". We have planned and it is in pipeline for version 10 to include the billing information in batch upload.

Please note that billing information is nothing to do with Credit Card verification.

Wait- so batch upload can't set an address anywhere? It just disappears? What's the point of asking for the address then?

As of now it works only in case of new contact creation. As stated it is under pipeline for version 10 to make billing address available in Contact Alias. Sorry for the inconvenience.
