C&P Pledge clashes with Opportunity Products

We need the ability to manage donations, pledges, and merchandise sales. We turned on Opportunity Products and are using SKUs to classify opportunity records properly. However, we have lost all ability around C&P Pledges, including being able to view those we created previously and for donations to fulfill matching pledges.

How do we benefit from both pledges and products at the same time?
