web portal not processing gifts

What do I do to troubleshoot?! I have now had 2 reports that our website for donations is not working - they enter everything in, they say, and hit "submit" and the waiting happens - but nothing processes, and they are sometimes wondering if it will or won't charge the card.

Help... I've never had a problem before; don't know what to do...
