Shipping Address field requirement in VT

Not all of our Contacts in Salesforce have addresses attached to them. We do not use or need the Shipping Address in the VT. However, I have run into a problem with it. There are fields in the Shipping information section that say they are required for the transaction to process, whether I deselect everything in the C&P Settings or not. I have had to make the Shipping Information section visible so that my users can deselect the "Use same address as billing" manually when the donor has no address, so that the transaction will process. Am I missing something?
