One of our users noted to us this morning that the address for a specific contact did not update properly after she merged the C&P temporary contact with the previously existing Salesforce contact. Address data did make it into the transaction in Salesforce.

We do NOT update existing contacts and create an Alias for the new information. Please add the C&P Alias to the contact layout and you will see the new information in the Alias.

We have never ever (ever) done this. We never UPDATE any record. If "something exist" we append and never dare to touch the existing record.
If a new contact comes in we create it with the info but if it is a Temp and you merge it with existing record then we create an ALIAS. You may go to the ALIAS and push the data to update the Contact but that is manual and only through a user clicking the update button.
