Can't get temporary contacts to merge - not sure what's changed

This was the known issue in the version you are at. We have addressed the above issue in the current version which is available at Appexchange. If you would like us to upgrade your instance with latest versions, please let us know.

The only required fields I have in contacts are account name and contact name.

In trying to merge a temporary contact, I get the following error...
Errors

• Required fields are missing: [C&P Contact]
• Insert failed. First exception on row 0; first error: REQUIRED_FIELD_MISSING, Required fields are missing: [C&P Contact]: [C&P Contact]---1164-------(CnP_PaaS)

I don't know how to decipher that... HELP!!!!

I've granted one week access. Our SF ID is 00DG0000000j3Nc.
