Where to create the connection between C&P Accounts and SF Opportunities?

  • Where to create the connection between C&P Accounts and SF Opportunities?

    We have two C&P Accounts
    1) our Direct Connection and
    2) one Shared Connection.

    Nearly everything goes to the primary account; only one kind of donation goes to the shared one.

    In Salesforce C&P Settings>Opportunity, how do I indicate which SKU goes to which account? Or is that somewhere else?

    The idea is to make each account have its own SKU schema and then in the Salesforce C&P Settings > Opportunity indicate which SKU goes to which campaign, etc.

    For example:

    Account 1: SKU's start with 12345-Donation
    Account 2: SKU's start with 88888-Payment

    You may then go to Settings and set a condition for SKU starts with 12345 or Starts with 88888 or Ends with Payment, etc.

    As stated each account may have a different schema for its SKU's.

    Does that make sense?

      Thanks, and some of this makes sense but not all of it. Is there a guide that lays out the steps?

      I've just created all of our SKUs. Are you saying I need to change all of them so they include the proper C&P Account Number? (For instance, if I have an SKU now called MDS, do I need to go in and edit it to 27732-MDS in both SF and the portal so the funds are directed to the right account? If so, which account have these donations been going to for the last week?).
