How do we make different kinds of transactions in VT without having to change the thank you email every time? Right now we have a certain donation campaign in the Payment Description and the thank you receipt is customized to go with that campaign. But we want to also process a donation from a different campaign with a different thank you receipt. Is there a way to do that without changing the receipt every time?

Good day @[email protected],
Using Autoresponder and C&P Designer in Salesforce you can create an unlimited number of emails and send them based on the conditions such as Payment Method, WID, Transaction Campaign, SKU..etc. You can create multiple Thank you receipts and send them based on the Transaction Campaign by using C&P Autoresponder.
Please refer to the following link: http://help.clickandpledge.com/custo...th-salesforce-
Please check and let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
Thanks,Regards,

I tried to set up Autoresponder after making my email receipt template, but it doesn't show up in C&P Template Name and I don't know what to put in Responder Name. Also, when I made my template and sent myself a test, the org name did not show up in the red text about how it will show on their credit card. And I'm still confused about how this works when I use Virtual Terminal. There is a place at the bottom to customize a receipt email. Will the Autoresponder override that receipt?

Good day @[email protected],
It won't override the receipt. Let me explain you about our receipts. We have two type of receipts API Generic Receipt and C&P Autoresponder receipt/email in Salesforce.
API Generic Receipt:
Whenever the transaction processed successfully it will fire immediately to the donor as well as sent copy to the Organization. We have very limited customization in generic receipts.
Salesforce C&P Autoresponder Receipt:
It is a custom receipt/email in which you will have full control over when to send and it is fully customizable. It will fire the receipt/email only when the condition met. If the transaction is in the C&P Temporary Contact, the Autoresponder will not be sent since the Contact is not yet present.
You may can give any name in the "Responder Name". Once you select the "Tags" in Autoresponder from the dropdown menu then the related template names will appear in the "C&P Template Name" field.
See image:
Please note that, in the test email the organization Name won't appear in the red text.
Hope it helps. Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

So if the Autoresponder will not override the API Generic Receipt, and the generic one fires immediately upon successful transaction, seems like the Autoresponder receipt would be a second receipt sent. If we don't want the Generic one sent, do we just leave that all blank at the bottom receipt area of the Virtual Terminal page? You guys are the BEST at support help! Can't thank you enough!

Good day @[email protected],
You may can stop sending the API Generic Receipt to the donors by changing the settings as "Do Not Send Receipt: YES" under portal.
Login to https://portal.clickandpledge.com >> Account Info >> Your Profile >> Account Information.
See Image:
Please note that, the above option only applies to the donor & not the receipt to the organization. Organization always receive the copy of the transaction no matter whether do not send receipt on/off.
Let us know if we can of any further assistance.

Good day [email protected]
One point to make clear, in case the previous post causes confusion.
The portal setting may be overridden by any application. For example if in the Salesforce VT you check the box "Send Receipt" for the system receipt, since it is being manually stated the system receipt will be sent to the patron. Any application may force the receipt to be sent if specifically asked to send.
Hope that helps.Regards,

Good day!
Whatever I describe here is a legacy carryover from way way back and it is still being used, in other words this behavior will change once Connect 2.x takes over.
The checkout pages that are in the Portal use the Account Info setting in its true form. If the Send Receipt is turned off the donor will not receive any emails. The organization receipt copy does not rely on this and the organization always receives the email regardless of any setting.
The Connect forms, Virtual Terminal, Salesforce Event all use their own settings. So if you are NOT using the easyPages and Advanced pages in the portal then turn that field off and do not send the receipt to the Donors as a global setting.
Please note that each page in Connect, Salesforce Event, or the Virtual Terminal in Salesforce or Connect have their own settings and you may turn them off individually.
Hope that answers your question.Regards,

I think I have it...we DO have an easyPage set up as our donation page on our website, so I should NOT turn off the receipt in the portal afterall. But I CAN uncheck the box in Virtual Terminal "Send Email to Patron", and if all is set up correctly with autoresponder, that email designed in C&P Designer should send. Is that correct??
