  • Salesforce/C&P Connection

    Hello!

Our Salesforce/Click & Pledge connection is currently broken, and while I took the steps to reestablish it this morning, and tested it successfully, it doesn't seem to have held. None of the donations we're getting are hitting Salesforce (in Connect they all show as Error in the Salesforce column) but in Salesforce it's showing that we do have a connected user for the Click & Pledge accounts in question. I'm not sure what to do about this -- in the short term I can manually push donations into Salesforce but that's not a sustainable solution. We're having a separate (I think) issue with our temp contacts (https://forums.clickandpledge.com/fo...contacts-issue) but this has happened before with the connection breaking and I'd like to figure out how to fix it reliably.

Our Salesforce Org ID is 00Di0000000aYw3.

    Thanks!

    Elizabeth

      Good day!

Which C&P Account are you using to connect? I do not see your account 26808 as being connected. You have a number of accounts so please let us know which one you are connecting?

Also you should use connection sharing since OAuth does not let you connect more than 4 accounts. We added Connection sharing to allow for organizations that have many accounts to use OAuth.

If you are connecting all your C&P accounts please connect one of them to Salesforce and use Connection sharing with the others. This way you only update one account and leave the rest as shared. Shared accounts use the connection from the first account and anytime you update it all shared accounts will share that same update.

Just to re-iterate-- if you are connecting more than 4 accounts using OAuth, Salesforce will remove connection from the first one account you used to connect. It only allows for 4 accounts to be connected using direct connection.

      Hope that helps.

This is why we have set up the Connection Sharing so allowing for more than 5 connections.

        hope that helps.

          Hello!

Okay -- I'll try changing that over and see if it works, and then come back if it doesn't.

          Thanks!

            Good day Elizabeth Roberts

It has been a couple of days-- have you seen any broken connections?

Just following up to make sure the issue has been resolved.
