Autoresponder "Mail From Name"

Hi Brian, if you go C&P Settings, then the Autoresponder tab, then edit the individual autoresponder, you should see fields for the 'Mail from' name as well as "Mail from" and "Reply to" email addresses, none of which need to be the same as the user account you are using to set up or edit the autoresponder.
In fact, we had some issues setting the SMTP sender to an individual SF user. There should be an option to select Click and Pledge as the SMTP sender and that has worked fine for us.
I now see that C&P support has already responded, but thought I'd try to be helpful forum member.Last edited by jmueller; 03-09-2015, 09:37 AM.

Good day!
Here is the KB article for this: http://forums.clickandpledge.com/con...alesforce-SMTP
The reference at the end for Office 365: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/.../dn554323.aspx
A screen shot of what it should look like:
Hope this helps.

Well, we are making progress, but not quite there.
I understand using c&p. I tried that and it works. I read your link re: office365, but my problem is that under SMTP in C&P Settings I dont have the ability to reference Enable TLS. My only visible option is enable SSL. I did try port 995 with ssl and still failed, but I will try with another account and password. Do you have a screenshot (without password) for an office365 configuration that you know is good?

Good day!
Click & Pledge SMTP is already built in and is a pull down menu in the SMTP setting.
Also we have tested Office 365 and it works fine. Here is instructions: http://portal.smartertools.com/kb/a2...and-gmail.aspx
Make sure the User is the same as the one whose SMTP is being set up. Some servers, including Office 365, do not allow sending email by someone else other than the one whose SMTP is being used. For example you cannot do the following:
- SMTP User: [email protected]
- Reply to or Mail From: [email protected]
Just for reference here is how to choose Click & Pledge SMTP:

I tried to use my mail server (office365) but they seem to require TLS and you only support SSL. Is that correct? Hopefully TLS is coming soon.
So I am willing to try C&P's smtp server (at least in the interim), but looked for smtp in the manual and searched the forum and the c&p site for smtp but I didnt notice anything that described server (smtp.clickandpledge.com?) port, and credentials I should be using?
thanks for a link or screenshot from c&p settings or info here.

Good day!
If "Salesforce" is used as the SMTP sender then Salesforce is the agent that is sending the email and naturally uses the "logged in" user which in this case is the one that is connecting to Salesforce.
If "Click & Pledge" is used as the SMTP then you have full control over what shows up. We are recommending our clients to use "Click & Pledge" as SMTP and in the future releases we will be removing Salesforce as the SMTP given the limitations it imposes on the autoresponder, one of which is limited volume per day.
Please use "Click & Pledge" as SMTP and let us know if it answers your needs.

Autoresponder "Mail From Name"
The sends email as a particular user, however we do not want that to be the user whose credentials are used to sync with SF and we do not have additional SF licenses to burn.
How can we change the "mail from" name and email address?Tags: None
