  • Donor Receiving Hundreds of Emails

    One of our Donors, Melissa, Contact Record: 003d000000Tk9qa called today saying that she has received 5-600 autoresponders since June 16th including 20-30 today. (Only 6 have been logged in the Autoresponder log). They have all been the same autoresponder, one titled "receipt" and all of them have been in reference to a variety of monthly donations made in 2015.

    One thing to mention - we have since removed her email address to stop the onslaught (well, technically moved it to the "alternate email" record), and also I believe that I upgraded to the latest versions of the Class Library and PAAS in Salseforce on the same day this all started.

      My donor just forwarded another few receipts that she received yesterday and today. Have you guys made any progress on figuring this out?

        Good day!

        Sorry for the delayed response. We reviewed the autoresponder and it seems like the receipts that were not sent in the past are now being sent. The maintenance is ON and this can happen if the C&P Data that had not processed before is now fixed and the maintenance can send it.

        The autoresponders are being sent for transactions that were done in 2015.

        The attempt count is 1 and no two order numbers are the same. This tells us that this is a unique autoresponder that is being sent out for the first time.

        Have you made any changes or were these transactions in the system with an error? The record & timestamp is all recent.

        The Transaction shows that it has only recently been created, even though the transaction was done last year. Given this the autoresponder has fired since the conditions were met.

        I hope you see what is going on. It is a bit confusing.

          Well, it appears that it is re-posting these transactions over and over again, because they are all now created on the 6/27/2016 instead of 6/23/2016.

          It is reposting these same 6 transactions from 2015 multiple times a day. Seeing as they are all historical transactions and I have the Salesforce donation/opportunity records, perhaps I should just go into the maintenance and delete the transactions from Salesforce? That would hopefully fix whatever error is trying to fix itself?

          Please advise!

            Check the C&P Data for these transactions. Do they show an error message?

            If you go to the C&P Data for the transaction and scroll down the page you will see the "Message" field. There is an issue with this and the system is trying to fix it.

              They all have : List index out of bounds: 0.

              What is the solution to fixing this? (Again, deleting them is fine too).

                Good day!

                We reviewed and noticed that those 6 are recurring transactions are from the same recurring family. We noticed that the master recurring transaction for those recurring installments is not exist in your instance which is causing the issue and resulting the error.

                We have reposted the master recurring and fixed all of those recurring installments.

                  Hi we are having the same issues. Our donors are receiving emails every 3 hours when Click and Pledge tries to post the transactions into Salesforce. We've also removed the email addresses to try and stop the madness. The autoresponder log does not show all the emails that were sent either. They all have this error as well:

                  Insert failed. First exception on row 0; first error: CANNOT_INSERT_UPDATE_ACTIVATE_ENTITY, npo02.OpportunityRollup: execution of AfterInsert

                  caused by: System.AsyncException: Future method cannot be called from a future or batch method: npo02.OpportunityRollups.rollupContactsandHousehol dsForTrigger(Set<Id>)
