  • Temporary Contact Data Incomplete / Inaccurate

    Hello,

    When Temporary Contact info comes through from C&P donations there are a couple of odd things happening (or not happening).

    1.) The last name field is populated with the middle initial (presumably from the "Name on Card" field from the form as we do not have MI in our form for donor entry) followed by the last name of the donor.

    2.) Address information like street, city, state, zip and country is not coming through even though it is a part of the fields required for entry on the forms we have as active.

    Any guidance / info on how to fix the issues listed above would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for granting access to us.

    1. We reviewed and noticed that the reason for populating MI is because that is the way the donor entered the last name. If you review the C&P Data of the respective order number, you will see the last name included the middle initial.

    2. We noticed that you have used custom fields for address instead of billing fields. We don't map the custom fields for billing information. You will need to replace those fields with "Address" field which you will find in the Gravity forms >> Forms >> Advanced Fields >> Address and Email.

      Thanks for the feedback. This may sound dumb, but how do I even get to the Gravity forms >> Forms >> Advanced Fields >> Address and Email section? I don't find that mapping in my C&P Settings in Salesforce or in Click and Pledge Portal, nor Click and Pledge Connect. I'm relatively new to C&P.


      But even further, when I look at the checkout page for our main donations site we have Last Name completely separate with no instructions or anything that should make a donor feel that middle initial goes in that field.


      And our mapping to contact does have just regular mailing address information, no custom fields that I can see unless I'm completely missing something here.

            Thanks for sharing the order number. As stated , the transaction in the question has been processed from Gravity Forms: https://mplsheart.org/your-gift-matt...te-foundation/

            We noticed that you are passing the address information as custom fields in gravity forms which is not the billing information. Please login to your Salesforce Instance and search for the above order number in C&P Data and you will see all the details like, Application name, URL of the page, MI, Last Name and custom fields.. etc.
