Can Existing Patron in new donation be an Organization?

Hello,
I need to process recurring donations via credit card for one of our supporting churches but the system does not pull up Organizations, only Contacts. Is there a way to change this? Thank you!

Are you asking if the Virtual Terminal can pull the "Account" information instead of "Contact" in Salesforce?

Donations are assigned to contacts as a "person" is considered to be the card holder. Transactions cannot be assigned to an Account - at least not in the 8.x release.

We can gladly consider this as a feature request but have to think about its implications across all aspects of the program, e.g. Autoresponder needing email, receipts, etc.
