  • Recurring Donation: Donor accidentally selected recurring option. How do I disable?

    Hello,

One of our donors accidentally selected recurring monthly donation when he gave to our organization. He only meant to give us a one time donation. How do I prevent any future recurring payments from being processed while preserving his initial donation?

    Thanks,
    Ross

Follow up to recurring payment cancellation

      Hello,

Once I cancel the payment by doing the below, will this cancel all his donations including the initial one? I only ask because I'd like to communicate to our donor if he should reissue his donation or if we were able to preserve his first payment of the recurring payments and only the future payments were cancelled. Please advise.

      Thanks,
      Ross

        Good day!

Cancellation does not mean credit. If you wish to credit a transaction then you need to follow the credit process.

Recurring has 2 parts to it - the past and the future.

If you wish to negate the past then you have to issue a credit and if you wish to cancel the future then you need to cancel the recurring. These are 2 different steps.

To issue credit please see: http://forums.clickandpledge.com/con...-a-Transaction

I hope the above answers your question. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
