  • Entering offline mailed-in check donations

    Quick question (I think). Is there any reason or advantage to entering donations made via paper check into Salesforce via Click & Pledge, as opposed to just entering as a new donation in the "Donation" object in Salesforce (nonprofit starter pack). The main advantage I see would be to prompt a thank you letter email, but I'm not sure how to do that in Salesforce, should I enter a new C&P transaction or something else?

    Good day!

    I suggest you use the Virtual Terminal since then it is all in our system and it does Autoresponder, email, etc. -- all things we do for a credit card transaction we do it for custom payment type. Custom payment transactions are absolutely free and do not do have any charge since we do not settle them.

    Our clients always use VT for all things transactions.
