  • Transaction data showing but not donations

    I recenlty had to disable the
    Enable Opportunity Contact Role Trigger
    in contact settings in order to allow contacts to process but I have been seeing an issue with the last few donations coming in, the gift will process and the transaction data will be correct but it will not record the transaction as a donation in Salesforce like it usually does. What could be causing this error?

          The issue is still happening, the transaction is processing correctly but the opportunity is not triggered or not created with it. This is a major issue as we track all of our donations through our opportunity object.I have just run a transaction in my own name with the order # of 1604110949191442310 for the amount of 1 $ and as you can see the donation has not come up. Thank you for your time

            I have found that the opportunity is being created but since I have had to turn off the automatic contact role option in contact settings it is not connecting the opportunity to the donor through the donations object, is there a way of creating a new trigger that would serve this purpose?

              Good day!

              Since you have NPSP installed the job of creating the contact role for this opportunity is on NPSP.

              We do not recommend having C&P create the contact role since you will end up with 2 contact roles making the payment appear twice in the "Donations" related list.

              Have you check with NPSP to see if that is creating the contact role? it should.

                This issue originally came my last post in which I had an error processing C&P temporary contacts and I was given a solution by the Click and pledge support team to disable the opportunity contact role trigger in contact settings. This fixed the issue of processing temporary contacts but in term disabled NPSP from creating contact roles. Is there any work around that will allow me to have both features working properly?

                  When NPSP is installed you need to have the NPSP enabled if you wish to have contact roles.

                  I may not be understanding the question but other than this we see no issues with your transactions relative to your question.

                  Please provide more insight if you think this answer does not address your issue.

                    Thank you for your help didnt realize that there was an option in click and pledge as well , since the NPSP option to create contact roles is causing problems I will use the setting in Click and Pledge, what would I need to fill in for the * Contact ID (18 Digits ID) field to make sure that the role is assigned to the right contact?
