  • Problem with Opportunity Settings

    Hi CnP,

I installed PaaS 8.5003 this week to our Salesforce instance. I noticed when I did I lost our SKU mappings in the Opportunity tab of C&P Settings. The SKU mappings for "Record Type" and "Primary Campaign Source" have reverted to null values.

When I attempt to add the SKU codes back in, I receive a warning that duplicate SKU codes have been detected. Are the SKU codes still there, but not visible?

Any idea what is going on? Did I miss a post-installation step? Thanks in advance!

    Good day Mark,

SKU's are all available and you should not see changes in your setting.

As the following release note indicates the labels have changed but their respective actions are the same. The label change was to clarify conditions that are not met considering the new added filters.

    For example:

    - Any SKU --> Any Non Blank SKU

Our clients were getting confused with the "Any SKU" filter thinking that no SKU is also included whereas the filter looks for conditions where an SKU is listed. A blank SKU is not checked.

    The new filters:
    • Is Blank: Checks for no SKU is listed
    • Any or Blank SKU: As the name implies checks any SKU regardless of it being listed or not.

Your filters should not have changed- if you wish for us to review your instance please grant us login access so can review it.

I am still having issues. I've granted access for you to review it.

I removed all of our mappings because I kept receiving "Error! Duplicate SKU Found" message. Now I am able to add one or two SKUs back before receiving the same message.

        Good day!

We have tried to login to your account but we don't have access to your account.

During the office hours you showed us what is going on and since it is not what is going on with our instances we need to review your instance.

Please grant us login access at your earliest convenience.

          Good day!

When creating the record is the user an admin? We have duplicated this issue when a non-admin is setting up the settings as the user does not have permission to add data.

          Are you an admin?

This could also explain why we could not duplicate this.

            Hi C&P,

I granted access for another week.

I am our administrator (with the proper Salesforce admin privileges) and it has been happening to me consistently. Also, I just tried as a non-administrator and found the same issue.

Would it be worth trying to re-install PaaS?

            Thanks!

            Mark

              Hi Mark,

We reviewed your instance and your user profile is set as BICO Admin which does not have all the required permissions.

Can you possibly change your profile to the system administrator and try again.

Since you are the one that have granted us login access our access level is the same as yours. If a system admin grants us access we can create a higher level admin and test your instance.

Let us know how you wish to proceed.
