Insufficient Privileges message on C&P Temporary Contact

    The process is quite simple. All you have to do is to go to the User and add the proper permission set for the user.Our permission sets are shown below:

    The ones shown on the right hand side will provide all permissions for all the PaaS & Event app. There are other sets that are more restricted so you may choose them if you want the limited permissions.

    Please try it and let us know if you need more help. We can always do this for you but if you know how it is done it may be easier for you.

    Hello ... I have added a new user and they cannot access C&P Temporary Contacts. From our thread about this last year, I'm unclear if it was something you had to fix, or if I can grant access myself. We will continue to have a new user every year that needs access, so I would love it if I could grant access each time! Thank you.

    There are Permission Sets included with the package. We simply assigned that permission set to the respective user.

    We have assigned the permission set for temporary contacts to the respective users. Please let them check now and let us know if that didn't work.

    Thank you for the update. I have re-established connection in the portal. A user that was once able to access C&P Temp contacts is still unable, receiving this message: The value 'null' is not valid for operator '>'
    Error is in expression '{!If(ViewList.size>2,true,false)}' in component <apexutputLabel> in page cnp_paas:cnp_temporarycontact. They are using the user profile "Staff", if that makes a difference in solving the issue. Please advise.

    We have upgraded your Salesforce instance as requested. Please check with temp contact issue and let us know if they still unable to access.

    It is absolutely important that you re-establish connection between Click & Pledge and Salesforce. With this update C&P Accounts are no longer needed to be added to Salesforce as the connection will automatically add the required information to Salesforce.     This issue has raised due to NPSP 3.0 (Cumulus) which is a known issue. Please refer below thread for detail explanation:



    To resolve it, you need to delete all the deprecated NPSP fields available on Contact and Opportunity Objects.

    However, we noticed that you are at outdated versions of our apps. Please let us know if you would like us to upgrade your instance with latest versions.

    I have recently upgraded to NPSP3 and now some cannot access temp contacts, that once could. Please advise. I have granted 1 week access and out ID is 00Dd0000000ha6h. Thank you!

    We have upgraded you as requested.

    Important Consideration:

    The following 2 points need to be considered as part of this update since you may see more temporary contacts than you had prior to this update.
    • C&P Temporary Contact: In the 4.1x release Event's temporary contacts are part of the global C&P Temporary Contacts. Any attendee that was previously in the Event's temporary contact is now in the C&P Temporary Contact tab.
    • Maintenance: The maintenance self-healing service (C&P Settings > Maintenance) reviews all C&P Data logs and attempts to fix any errors that may have resulted from the post. To resolve the error, the self-healing service will delete & re-posts the prior post. This action in most cases will resolve any error that might have happened due to NPSP's record locks, etc.

    We reviewed your account and noticed that there are NPSP 2 deprecated fields that were not deleted as part of the upgrade. Please see this KB article: https://support.clickandpledge.com/s...recated-fields

    Your instance is also in an older release which needs to be upgraded.

    With your permission we can upgrade your instance & resolve the post-installation issues that were missed when you have upgraded.
