Map Custom Question - Text to Text

I am unclear on how to map a custom question when we want whatever the buyer enters as the answer to the custom question to be entered in the Salesforce field.
Example - Graduation Year: Open 4 digit text box.

When mapping that field, what do I put in the "Answer" and the ""then Replaces text with"?

I have assumed both to be blank, but please confirm. Thanks!

Let's do this step-by-step: I am assuming you want the answer to be in the Contact Record. So:





You need to make sure that the 'Question" is exactly the same text that you use for your question. The text is matched per the data that posts to the C&P Data.

In the above case I used "Birthday" as the contact field since I did not have the graduation date as a field. The idea is the same.

If the Question is "Graduation Year" the system will put the answer in the Contact object and Birthday field.

If the "Answer" is blank the answer as entered by the patron will be added to the field.
