  • Run-on sentence in autoresponder receipt for indefinite recurring payments

I'm using autoresponder for receipts for recurring payments. Therra receipts, all installments. The receipt for indefinite recurrings has a run-on sentence next to Recurring Total. Is there a way to fix that?

For a fixed number of payments, the text is:

    "This is a recurring payment.
Your card will be charged $5.00 every Month for 4 more time(s)"

    For indefinite, the text is:

    "This is a recurring payment.
Your card will be charged $5.00 every Month* for cancellation please contact us at the email address or phone number listed above."

Is that something I can fix in the template? I don't see where I have access to the text. Seems to need a period after Month, and a new sentance starting with For cancellation.

    Good day!

The text you are asking for cannot be changed as it is designed to satisfy all conditions in a generic form.

In the current form all fields associated with the recurring are available as individual fields so you may set specific conditions and texts for each type of recurring transaction. Using the feature available in the 9.3 release you can do whatever you want by formatting the text in any which way that satisfies your needs. See the fields available:

& given the autoresponder may be set for defined recurring as well as indefinite recurring separately, you may set different design and texts for each type of recurring.

Based on your profile your organization is 501C Partner which is a partner company but not the nonprofit itself, and as such we have no way of knowing which version of our app you are on. It always helps if you provide your Salesforce Organization ID with each post so we can at least know what version you are on. The above feature is available in the 9.3 release of PaaS.

Please let us know if we can be of more assistance.

I have updated my profile with current account information. We're using PaaS version 8.9. It sounds like I will be able to customize the text once I have upgraded to 9.3. But on v8.9 there is no way to change it. Is that correct?

        Good day!

The text may be customized by writing any text you want and include the variables in the text so the answer is yes. The text is NOT a field that you add your own text to but in the Designer you may write any text, in any location, and then drag the fields you want to complete the sentence.

        Hope that makes sense,.

After upgrading from v8.9 to v9.3, my autoresponder receipts for recurring payments changed from the screenshot on the left to that on the right. The difference is the Recurring Total $ amount. With 8.9 it used to say Recurring Total was same as single payment amount ($25 in the example on the left). Now with 9.3 it says total is 999x single payment ($1008.99 in the example on the right). Can I remove the total amount from the right side of the Recurring Total bar? I don't see these fields in my Template in the C&P Designer, so it doesn't look like I have access to them. The autoresponder in question is configured to run on all recurring payments, all installments.

Also, the run-on sentence "Your card will be charged $xxx every Month* for cancellation please contact us at the email address or phone number listed above'" is still there, and again, I don't see where to modify it in the Designer. I guess I did not understand your instructions above but hoped that 9.3 would reveal the solution.

            Good day!

That text cannot be changed. It is the standard field.

You have one option with 9.3 and that is remove the order list grid and construct the email using the wild cards for each item in the recurring without including the item list.

The grid is fixed and its text cannot be changed so you need to remove that section.

OK. I understand now. I will try to create a template using the wild cards instead of the order list grid. Thank you for clarifying.
