  • Opportunities not being created for transactions when importing to Salesforce

I have imported all data from the C&P portal to a new Salesforce instance. This used to work but now it is not creating an opportunity for every transaction, just some. I cannot determine any logical difference between those created and those not created.

    My org Id is 00D37000000PpLN
    C&P has been granted access.

You can look at this report to see transactions with and without opportunities:
https://na31.salesforce.com/00O37000001m46g The column Left Opp Name TEMP shows the count of opportunities for that month.

    Thanks!

    Good day!

I reviewed the first three Order Numbers, per your report, and I see the opportunities as expected:Click image for larger version

Please let me know which order number has not created an opportunity.

In this instance I do not see any C&P Data so it is hard to determine if an error has occurred during the import. The 3 that I checked all are correct and have the opportunities. Please see the links.

      Hello,

Thank you for the speedy response.

If you look down in the report starting with May 2013, you will see the C&P Transactions that are missing opportunities. I have created a report of just those that have no opportunities here:

      Thanks!

        Good day!

        I am reviewing order # 1306030950006352443

Where is the C&P Data for this?

          Hello,

I'm sorry but I don't understand the question. I downloaded data from the Click & Pledge portal and used the C&P Importer in Salesforce to import it.

          Thanks,

            Good day!

I did not know the "downloaded data from portal" and missed that point completely.

We reviewed your instance & noticed that you had reached governor limit when imported and that is why the transactions had generated error. See below:

This typically happens when too many "actions" are also taking place at the same time.

            Two solutions are possible:
            1. Importing smaller number of transactions at a time.
            2. Pushing the data from Connect rather than batch import.
The Governor limit is not something we have any control over. If we can be of any help please let us know.

Thanks for the reply. I have a few questions based on your recommendations.

              1. If I import in smaller batches, how small should the batches be? Currently the export from the portal chunks the files in 100 record each.
              2. Where do you see that SOQL error? I was getting it last month, but not during the most recent import.
              3. If I use Connect, do I have to do it one at a time?

              Thanks!
