  • Upsert Error

    Hello!

I received an e-mail with the following error and would appreciate help deciphering it.

"Upsert failed. First exception on row 1; first error: DUPLICATE_VALUE, duplicate value found: Family_Member_Name_1__c duplicates value on record with id: 006G000000Yzrm1, Family_Member_Name_2__c duplicates value on record with id: 006G000000Yzrm1: []"

On the checkout page, I have three additional fields for a person to enter the names of their family members if they select a family membership. The additional fields are mapped in Salesforce, and I've had someone select a family membership and include names without an error before. The contact mentioned already has a record, and the transaction was supposed to create a new opportunity linked to said contact. I can't help but feel this is really simple and I'm overthinking it.

If needed, I granted access to org ID 00DG0000000jW5o.

    Good day!

We reviewed your account and noticed the following: (the error being reported also states this as it is alerting you of duplicate values)

the fields you have defined are set to be unique (see below).

You are then mapping custom questions to these unique fields so if 2 people have the same name it will generate error. The uniqueness is across the entire Salesforce instance so family members that have the same name for different opportunities will generate an error.

I hope you see the issue.

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
