Good day @briegull,
As of now we can't customize the receipt subject line. It is generic receipt with limited customization and all hard coded. But, in our next release of Connect the receipts are fully customizable.
Thanks,

Is this still the case? I suspect it is but wish that for non-profit orgs where the Account is Household and the donor/patron is the same thing it could be customized.

Good day @wtben,
Receipts are always sent to the organization but not to the donor/patron. If you do not check the box for the receipt to go to the patron the patron will not get an email but the organization always gets a copy as that is sent for your records.
Hope that answers your question.

Disable receipt or change email subject
To process check donations manually, we're opting to use the C&P Virtual Terminal with payment method Others. In testing, we find that if an email address is provided a receipt gets sent automatically, even if Send Email to Patron is unchecked. We already have an autoresponder set up for eChecks and manual transactions like this, so we would rather the receipt not send unless the box is checked.
If this is not possible, is it possible to change the subject line of the receipt email? For a custom payment method of "Check" from the test donor "Wilderness Torah," the email subject is "Check Wilderness Torah," which is really confusing to us. We can only imagine what donors might think, especially since they would be receiving this receipt some time after mailing their check.
So, again, can we customize the subject line or eliminate the receipt altogether?Tags: None
