How to Increase a Recurring Donation

We have a good problem. An existing donor would like to double their recurring donation. How do we make those changes or what is the best practices for making the changes to recurring donations?

Good day!

That is always a good problem. There are 2 ways of doing this:

1. Start a new recurring with the same amount. You may do this in the Virtual Terminal and use the card on file for the payment.
2. Cancel the existing recurring so it will not process again and use the VT to start a new recurring with the new amount.

Thank you very much. Just for clarification, can you give me a quick review on canceling a recurring. I am using Salesforce. I have the VT covered. I just need a refresher on canceling the existing one.

Yes- the new release 9.2 will offer cancel recurring as well as recurring management.

The release has been scheduled for the week of December 7, 2015.
