  • Error: CnP_PaaS__Contact__c field missing

We received an error notification from Click & Pledge this morning:

"Insert failed. First exception on row 0; first error: REQUIRED_FIELD_MISSING, Required fields are missing: [CnP_PaaS__Contact__c]: [CnP_PaaS__Contact__c]"

The field is still present in the C&P Transaction object, so I don't understand the source of the error. The record was for a recurring donation. For what it's worth, the notification indicated the version of our installed package: 8.7012-2.2000. However, we have version 9.1014 installed.

I've granted you access to 00Dd0000000borB for a week to help troubleshoot. Let me know how I can help. Thanks!

    Good day!

Please test it now and let us know if you are still experiencing the issue.

We assigned the proper permission set to the user and it should work now.

Thanks! I'm not sure if I need to do something to test the system. The transaction that triggered the error seems to have reattempted its pass through the database and succeeded in creating an opportunity record.

Is it possible to change the Salesforce user associated with our Click & Pledge account so that records that get created by transactions get a different owner? Also, is it possible to change the email address to which errors like this one get sent so we can be more responsive to them?

        Good day!

The answer to both questions is yes.

        Please see: http://help.clickandpledge.com/custo...and-salesforce

        To update:
        1. Login to the portal
        2. Click on Account Info
        3. Click on 3rd Party
        4. Click on Salesforce Connection
        5. Re-establish the connection
        6. Update the email field
        7. Click on update
        Hope that answers your question.

Glad to know where this is. However, it's not working for me. I've tried entering a new login that definitely works and I'm getting the error: "INVALID_LOGIN: Invalid username, password, security token; or user locked out." Of note, the slides detailing this process are outdated; the current portal asks for username and password, while the slides ask for Salesforce server and say it'll open a login page at Salesforce. (Perhaps this has changed since Salesforce seems to want everyone to start at login.salesforce.com.)

Do I need to create a new security token? I already have one that I use at FormAssembly; can I use the same one here? The one prepopulated in the field has a string of asterisks in the middle.

            Good day!

Please see the following image: This is how you should do it. UserID & Password is not here.. not sure where you are seeing it. Please do not go to the Salesforce eVT - that is the Embedded Virtual Terminal and not applicable to you since that tab is for the Auctions for Salesforce feature which is not what you are using.

Ah, got it. I was confused because the text below the slides mentions eVT and that's what I was following instead of reading the slides themselves.
