  • unwanted phrase showing in autoresponder receipt

We've got something not quite right in our autoresponder - the receipts look great except the phrase below appears on the receipt - where do we go to remove/fix that? Did we miss something we should have completed?

"Thank you message in Advanced>Settings tab" -- this appears (without the quote marks), after the header and just before the line that starts the table with the prices/quantities etc.

It is in our template called RCCF Default Receipt. (you should have access if you need it; ID is 00D1a000000YF55)

    Good day @Leslie Cox,

Are you referring to the System receipt (the email with read border)?

You have this thread in the Salesforce PaaS application which means you are talking about the system receipts as sent through the Virtual Terminal.

Do you have a sample of the receipt? can you include it as a JPG post in this thread.

Okay - I thought you could go straight there, and I couldn't quite get the whole thing to save as a .jpg but I got most of the top part of it, which includes the phrase.

This is NOT the receipt sent directly out of VT, it's a default receipt template being used. We haven't figured out how to use the one inside the VT, and weren't sure if our logo could be put into that. If I'm posting in the wrong place, my apologies - just let me know where to post instead; from where I sit, it's not easy understanding how you have everything broken down on your end and what all your terminology means; I wish it were.

        Good day!

This is the Salesforce Autoresponder. & you have full control over it. Simply go to the C&P Designer and edit the design. You can change the design to anything you want, remove the texts, add whatever you want. It is an open HTML designer. All entries in that form are based on wildcard annotations so you can adjust it as you want.

Please let me know if you need more help.

We can't find where to make this particular change, or what is creating it. If you are able to point me to that, that would be helpful. If not - all I can do is keep looking.

My original post did say it was the autoresponder, and asked for exactly this help. Is there somewhere else I should be posting this? I'm sorry if there is confusion; I tried to be as clear as possible in my first post...

Yes, that helps - I think the confusion on our end is that we are NOT web folks and don't know html - and there's a lot automatically populating on there that we don't know what it is, and are afraid to remove it and accidentally remove something we shouldn't The phrase that we didn't want sounded to us like something that was generated as a message to us somewhere, telling us we hadn't filled out something correctly for the Thank You message.

I have deleted the part we don't want to show, and that should be fixed.

I sincerely appreciate your patience with things like this where I am a total and utter n00b (newbie) and more clueless than I'd like to be.

Thanks - that helps. If only I had more time to really play with, well, anything in C&P in detail, I'd feel better. Once upon a time, there was time in a workday for things like that, but it seems that today's pace of work doesn't allow it.

Is there any documentation that picks apart the pieces that are in there and tells me what each one is and does? I would love that, but so far haven't been able to find something like that.
