  • How to report on donations for the current year?

    Hello,

    I'm having some issues with creating a report that shows all current donations for the current year. Part of the issue, I believe, is that individuals who technically did not donate to our organization still show up in the reports. I believe it may have something to do with Virtual Terminal and that the 'Payment for:' field says "Donation". Has this been making every transaction through Virtual Terminal count as a donation? It sure feels like it has.

    With that in mind, I was wondering if someone could explain to me all of the sections in the Virtual Terminal settings of C&P Settings. What is "Tracker and Campaign" or "Receipt Customization" or "Additional Questions" or "Payment Description" do? And what is the significance when it comes to reports?

    Also, is there a way to go back and fix all the data that is showing up as a donation but definitely isn't??

    One final thing: How do I create a report that shows all of the events we've had in the event mgt and details the levels that have been signed up for in those events?

      Uhm...well, maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about?? I've attached a screenshot - I'm just using the 'Reports' tab in Salesforce??

        Good day!

        I moved the post to the Salesforce Donor Management Channel. It helps if you post your questions to the right channel since our answer depends on what application you are using. There are so many products and same function has the same name so it is very hard to know how to answer.. I understand it is confusing as there are many channels.

        In the Virtual Terminal there is a field called Charge Date. See the following:

        The Charge Date is the date the transaction will process. Initially we will do a pre-authorization for $0 and then process the actual transaction on the set date.
