  • Autoresponder Fail

I have been trying to use our internal SMTP for the autoresponder, but they have all been failing. I know we have extreme security controls on our email, so I decided to switch over to the Click & Pledge SMTP server instead. It is still failing when I try to send the email. I have it set to send me a copy, and that one is going through fine, but the one to the payee is not processing for some reason.

In addition I also noticed, like a previous person mentioned, that the transaction date/timezone was off on the autoresponder as well. Thanks for your help. I have granted login access if you want to see anything.

    Thanks.

    Good day!

May I ask what version of our app you are using? The timezone issue was resolved with the 51 release.

        Good day!

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We have tested your instance extensively and have done detailed test of the autoresponder and did not find any issues with either.

Here is what we have observed:
        • You are using your own SMTP for the autoresponder.
        • The ones that have failed are the ones using your SMTP
        • We don't have the password for the SMTP user so we can't verify it.

You may wan to use Click & Pledge SMTP for testing since our SMTP works without any glitch but yours appears to be failing. Have you changed the password?
        Regards,
        Click & Pledge Support Department

Thank you for responding and testing. I know my SMTP is broken. It tends to work on and off and I believe the fault is in our spam security on our system here. My issue is that the Click & Pledge SMTP isn't working either. When I tested again this morning it failed. I've tried it both on my invoice receipt and on my declined receipt, sending to a gmail account. Both times it failed to send. Not sure why.

            Good day!

Sorry I forgot to update this post on Friday.

We tested this extensively and all tested with your account. The Click & Pledge SMTP works without any problem. See the following image:

The one that has failed is not with Click & Pledge SMTP.

We are confident that it is working as all tests inside and outside of your account work without any problem.

Please let us know if you wish to review this again. You may also join our office hours if you wish to discuss this further.
