  • Reporting on pledged gifts

    Hello,

Is there any way I can see how much money has been pledged to my organization? I see a report for "Active Recurring Payments", but it only has the Recurring ID and the number of installments outstanding and in total. Is there any way to see the campaign and total pledged amount on these reports?

Can you make the "Total Commitment" amount available at the object level so I can build my own reports with that data?

    Good day!

There is a problem with this and it is related to the indefinite recurring.

We have given this a lot of thought and can't quite figure out how do you put the total of a recurring when someone donates $100 until cancelled? Should we add a very very very very large number in there?

Any solution you may have will be definitely considered.

My first thought is to have as many installments until the card expires. e.g. If I pledge $100/month until the end of time, but my card expires next month, my pledge is $200.

Alternately, do indefinite and finite pledges have to be exactly the same? For indefinite, could you leave "total amount" null, or not have a total amount field at all. The number I'm looking for is on the visualforce page for my pledges, I just want to report on them, or even just see them all in one place and get the sum on the C&P reports visualforce page.

        Good day!

I guess one can leave the total amount as NULL for indefinite. That may be a good compromise and your report may be set for that field = NULL and treated differently.

I will bring it up tomorrow at our developer meeting and figure out what we can do. Others have asked for it also and there is no clean solution. One can set a flag that is set to true for indefinite recurring but I hate to create a field that is not checked for most of the entries.
