  • Virtual Terminal Transaction Does not Post to Salesforce

I ran two recurring transaction on 9/23/2015 that have not posted to Salesforce. Funds show as transferred at Transfirst, the credit card and receipts were transmitted as programmed. The transactions can be found by searching the order number in two locations: 1)C&P Admin portal: https://portal.clickandpledge.com/Pr...fault.aspx?s=2, and 2)Connect C&P https://login.connect.clickandpledge.com/loggedIn under transactions. The Salesforce field in each transaction shows "Error." Clicking into the transaction details, I attempted (multiple times) to push the transaction to Salesforce with the Post to Salesforce button without a successful result.

I'd appreciate guidance, or correction of the issue, please. Thanks.

    Good day!

In reviewing your case I noticed that posts to your account are generating errors: Execution of after insert caused error.

Please grant us login access so we can review your Salesforce instance.

BTW: Please post the questions to the appropriate channels. Your question is in reference to Salesforce but the question is posted in our API channel. Each channel is designed for specific products. I will go ahead & move this post to the proper Salesforce Donor Management channel.

Let us know when we have login access as well as your Salesforce Organization ID so we can review your account. Your account is also on an older release of our application. Once we have access we will also upgrade your instance so you are on the latest release. If you do not wish to be upgraded let us know.

                Good day!

                Great.. we now have access.

We have added your account to the queue for upgrade. In reviewing your instance we noticed you do not have the Event management installed. If you wish for us to install it just let us know. If you do not need event then there is no need to install - but thought I ask while we are working on your instance.

I'm not sure what this is. Could you elaborate on what "Event management" is? Thx.

                    Good day!

Click & Pledge Event Management is a separate app designed for managing events and registration for events. It is part of your accounts and as all other products it is free with your account.

If you wish to install let us know.

                        Good day @Michael,

We have upgraded your instance & installed the event as requested.

In reference to the error the following trigger has an error:

The trigger is blocking us from posting to Salesforce.

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

I work with Michael and have some info about the triggers on our end. But first, what I noticed was that some contributions aren't even making it into the Bridge. On our end, I'm told we have a before and after trigger, the before trigger strips out the credit card number and expiration date so that that data never makes it into Salesforce. In theory, that occurs before the bridge and might explain the data not getting into the bridge. As I understand it, that trigger was built by us before C&P had any system for cc info (credit card numbers would be available in SF). Now, I'm told, C&P has it's own system for stripping out that data before it leaves C&P. Is that correct? In that case, our before trigger shouldn't be needed so we're looking at stripping that out.

We'll get back with more info once we've taken a look.
