  • What is "Salesforce Remote Access Connection" ?

    Hi. I had to reset my security token today and I noticed a new tap labeled: "Salesforce Remote Access Connection" What is this? I tried inputting our salesforce account data,however the "system does not "verity" ? Do we need this handshake to work?

    Good day @Rick_McKenney,

    The new OAuth connection (Salesforce Remote Access Connection) no longer uses Tokens so you don't have to worry about any changes in the password or token breaking the connection.

    The other tab for eVT is for Auctions for Salesforce users and will soon be integrated into the OAuth tab but for now those using the eVT (Embedded Virtual Terminal) will have to use that tab. Please make sure that the connection is correct and activated.

    I wanted to review your account but you have 2 accounts in our system. Which account are you connecting now so we can review your setting.

      We should only have one C&P account? C&P account # 16448, and we only have one SalesForce account.

        Good day!

        We have 2 accounts for Water For Humans:
        1. Water for Humans - account #: 16448
        2. Water for Humans - account #: 19290 [Seattle Foundation is the admin]
        In reviewing your accounts I noticed you are part of the Seattle Foundation's GiveBig day. This explains why you have 2 accounts as one of the accounts is the one used by the SF for the GiveBig and you only have reporting access to while the other one you have full access to.

        Since you are not aware of the second account you may to keep that in mind when connecting to Salesforce as your GiveBig day transactions can also post to Salesforce in real time. Unlimited accounts may post to the same Salesforce account.

              I attempted to verify my primary account and it will NOT verify

              On the C&P setting page WFH main C&P account shows up with a GUID# 47eafde5-10ed-4187-8843-67191db51986

              I do not see the Seattle Foundation Give big account

              The SalesFoce VET page verifies OK with our main account data.

              Please advise- help

                Good day @Rick_McKenney,

                The reason you do not see the Seattle Foundation account is simply that you are not a user in that account. That account's user is: Stanton B. - no other users are in that account.

                & the URL does not include /home/home.jsp. The URL is the base URL to your instance. Please try: https://na29.salesforce.com
