    Yesterday, I updated to the latest version of Click & Pledge Donor Management (V:8.3042) and ran into a problem. It failed because C&P exceeded the allowance of three external ID or unique fields. Apparently in this new version (or sometime since my initial install two months ago) C&P added a new field 'CnP_PaaS__CnP_Connect_Alias_Index__c' with the External ID attribute. Now I might be able to eliminate one of my own external ID fields, but before I investigate that option, I wanted to find out the reason and usage of this new C&P field. Maybe I can lobby for the removal of the External ID attribute from this field. Is there a compelling reason for this field having 'External ID'?

    Good day!

    The field is the Connect Alias and we have to have it to calculate the Patron Value Rank. It has to be indexed otherwise the system will run into error with limits.

    This is not an issue for you to be concerned with- if you need an additional one simply let us know and we ask Salesforce to add it to your account. We can request the limit to be increased for your account.

    Please let us know if we need to request it for you.

      Thank you. It certainly would be best to simply add to the allowed limit. Should I send our organization ID through a help ticket?
