    Good day!

In release 9.x we will be handling this in Salesforce. Our goal is to make Salesforce totally independent of the portal.

At this time the only way to do what you wish to do is to change the opportunity stage to something like "Credited". You may want to create a stage and change the stage for the one you credited.

Hang in there as the feature will be in the next release.

I also have the same question. I cancelled the recurring donation in the Click & Pledge portal but it still shows up in the C&P Recurrings tab in Salesforce. When you release 9.0, will it automatically update this older recurring that I cancelled? Also, to be clear, the first donation in the recurring cycle I did not cancel since it had already posted. I only cancelled the future recurrings. How should I go about cancelling these in Salesforce, or will the new CP release do it for me even though I cancelled these payments prior to the release? It looks like the only way to change it is to just delete the recurring transaction, since the edit screen does not allow me to change the number of installments. I guess it would be safe to delete the recurring ID and just keep the first closed-won donation? Thanks for your help!

Is there an update on the status of 9.x release which will include the updates to Salesforce for any Canceled recurring transactions?

In the mean time we are also needed to manually update Salesforce but don't see where the C&P Recurring object's fields are available in the UI so that we can change them. What are the recommended steps to update this object in Salesforce?

In a prior post on this thread you suggest, where can we update these fields?:
"You could use the field already available in C&P Recurring "Cancelled" and expose this field for use. I would recommend also the date Cancelled and also to change any Upcoming Receipts to Zero. THe field is CnP_PaaS__CnPRecurring__c.CnP_PaaS__Canceled__c"

    Thank you,
    Charlie

Thanks Dan! We tried to make this change in the layout but the Recurring Detail screen won't show it, as if locked against layout changes.
Did you do something to make that work?

Yes that was the older question. The newer question is after canceling in the C&P portal, what do we do in *Salesforce* in the meantime to cancel these cleanly, since they are still listed as active in the C&P Recurrings Screen in SF?

In the current release the recurring may be cancelled through the Click & Pledge's portal. See the following KB article: http://forums.clickandpledge.com/con...ng-Transaction

The cancel does not post to Salesforce in the currently release but in release 9.0 it will be. It is already added to the API & the Class Library but not yet implemented.

    Hope that answers your question.

    Good day!

Once a recurring has been cancelled it will no longer post to Salesforce. I will discuss this with developers to determine what you can "safely" do so it does not break any future posts.

So what is the suggested procedure for maintaining accurate salesforce records on recurring donors now? In the C&P Recurring screen I see recurring transactions scheduled that have been canceled in C&P portal. Should we delete these in the Recurring Detail screen?

In the current release cancelled recurrings are not posted to Salesforce. We have implemented this in the 9.x release due out by June 2014. It is implemented and will be part of that deployment. The release will also include crediting transactions as well so when a charge is voided or cancelled or a recurring is cancelled it will be reflected in Salesforce.

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

  • Cancelling a Recurring Payment and updating Salesforce

Can you please explain the precise behavior of the system when you cancel a recurring payment? We go to the C&P portal and cancel the recurring but is there any automated update to the Recurring record in Salesforce? Is there a Cancelled field that is updated? Date cancelled?
    Please elaborate.
    Thanks
    Dan
