Temporary Contact not appearing on C&P Data detail

  • Temporary Contact not appearing on C&P Data detail

    Hello, I created a donation EasyPage for testing and my test transactions are appearing in Salesforce under C&P Data, but on the C&P Data detail, the Temporary Contact is not displayed. However when I look at the Temporary Contacts tab, the contact is there.

    Also, I can manually convert the Contact but information from the transaction such as phone number and address is not being updated on the Contact record.

    We have the NPSP and C&P Contact Settings on Semi-Automatic Contact creation.

    I am a bit confused by the following statement: "C&P Data detail, the Temporary Contact is not displayed"

    The Temporary Contact tab is the only place that should show the information. As you stated the Temporary Contact is showing up in the right place.

    About the information not showing up in the right place, may I ask what you have in the following setting:

    - C & P Settings > Contact & Account > Contact & Account Mapping (see below)

    Please let me know if the fields are mapped to the fields you expect.

      Hmmmm... on the Contact & Account Mapping tab I don't have the columns for Account mapping, just Contact mapping:

        Is this in an instance that has NPSP?

        Since we don't create the Account we have no choice on how to deal with it.

          Yes, it does have the NPSP with the one-to-one model, so that would explain why the C&P Contacts and Accounts mapping looks a little different. I granted login access to you on another thread for OID 00Di0000000KHA4 if you want to see what I mean about information from the Temporary Contact not getting transferred to the Contact record.

            Good day!

            We reviewed you account and want to make sure your expectations match our design. Here is how the Temporary Contact works:
            • If Temporary Contact is converted to a "NEW" Contact then all information will be added to the Contact field as mapped.
            • If Temporary Contact is matched with an "EXISTING" Contact, then an ALIAS will be created for the matched contact and all the new information will be added to the Alias.

            It appears that you are expecting a matched contact to show the new phone number. Is that correct?

            Is the behavior you are observing different what I explained above as the designed behavior?
