  • Custom Questions and Step 4 of Post Installation

Somewhat confused on Step 4 Post Installation of the PaaS upgrade from V7 to V8.

On our Events, we have custom questions. For example, we ask the person if they have any Special Dietary needs and they fill in the text (free form).

Q1: Do I need to do any "Date" mapping as specified in Step 4 (see attached) ?

Q2: If I need to do Step 4, what do I put for the values of the parameters (using the above dietary needs example) ?

Q3: Is there anything else to setup for the Custom Questions to work ?

    Thanks

    Good day!

What this means is simply to caution you that if you are using a DATE field you need to test the mapping to ensure that the date is being inserted correctly.

In prior releases the DATE was being save as a TEXT field but in 8.x we are saving it as DATE and support the DATE field format. Earlier versions we were not having Transaction DATE and this simply is to make sure that your custom fields are supporting this format.

Static date is being replaced with dynamic date fields.

      Thanks.

You may want to update the documentation to make it clearer that this Step is only if you are using a DATE field, and it for testing the mapping to ensure that the date is being inserted correctly.
